The baluster bodies extensively decorated with tooled gilt scrolling foliage on a red ground. The acanthus leaf scroll handles issuing from Classical masks and terminating in heads of stylised birds. Flared collar and socle. Marked inside neck with blue Imperial cypher for Nicholas I. Scratched numer under base "PS N=11" and "19/1" in gold.
