Egg tempera on wood panel. Gesso ground. Against a golden background. Gilt haloes. The silver-gilt oklad and the basma finely chased, engraved and ornamental punched. Stamped with dated city hallmark, alderman's mark "AFP" in Cyrillic (Fedor Petrov; 1759-1784) and master's mark "SK" in Cyrillic (Stepan Dmitijev Kalashnikov; 1762-1795). 51.8 x 41 cm
