The Archangel Michael from an iconostasis. Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The archangel shown full-length, leaning forward, turning to his left, holding a sceptre and bearing a globe. His face delicately rendered. The red of his cape complementing the pastel and dark blue of his chiton, with bejewelled hems. The background and border stripped to gesso, losses, restored.
