Glass, moulded with sprays of Wolfberry. Impressed mark "G. ARGY-ROUSSEAU" and "FRANCE". 14.6 cm high ARGY-ROUSSEAU", Boden bez.: "FRANCE" (vertieft formgeschmolzen). H. 14,6 cm Provenienz: Provenance: A Berlin Private Collection Joseph-Gabriel Rousseau (1885 - 1953). 1914 stellt Argy-Rousseau seine ersten Entwürfe mit Argy-Rousseau was a glassman whose first interest was in the properties of the metal itself. He was not interested in shape and external decoration. Normally glass in a molten state comes to the workman directly from the furnance, but in his pate de verre process, regular hard and finished colored glass is ground up into a fine powder, mixed with a liquid, usually just plain water, and then cooked in a mold.
