"Bottle with stopper Maurice Marinot, Troyes, c. 1925 Colourless, thick-walled glass with cloudy, amber and moss-green powder inclusions and metal oxides, these irregularly warped and with a dense bubble decoration. The wall all around with a deeply etched decorative motif in triple motif repetition. Engraved on the bottom: marinot. h. 19.5 cm. Cf. decorative technique: H. Hilschenz-Mlynek/H. Ada Polak wrote about Marinot's glass in the magazine ''The Connaisseur'' (May 1965) and commented on the extreme rarity of his work: ''You can't find glass from Marinot on the market today. Most of the works went to collectors or museums as soon as they left the factory in Troyes, where he had his workplace. [...] A few private admirers [...] own very fine collections [...].''"
