Ihr Vater war Musiker, während ihre Mutter in der Keramik arbeitete, lebte Ruths Familie in einem Kibbuz namens Alonim, einem Ort, an dem sie in ihrer frühen Jugend viele Möglichkeiten hatte, ihre künstlerischen Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln. Als junge Erwachsene besuchte Ruth das Avni Art Institute in Tel Aviv. Sie setzte ihre Ausbildung in den Vereinigten Staaten fort, wo sie einen Abschluss in Psychologie erhielt. Derzeit lebt und bildhauert Bloch in Israel."
