In Gold und leuchtenden Farben dargestellter Heiliger in Bischofsgewand mit Hirtenstab und brennender Kerze. 33 x 26,5 cm (mit schlichtem, ebonisiertem Holzrahmen). Blasius war Bischof von Sebaste im Nordosten der Türkei. Er starb als Märtyrer um 316 während der Christenverfolgungen im Römischen Reich. In der katholischen Kirche zählt er zu den 14 Nothelfern.
