Kreuzabnahme Jesu. Öl auf Leinwand, doubliert und rest. Unten links ein Wappen, gehalten von einem Löwen und einem Drachen. Darunter die Inschrift "Coelum non Solum.". Gerahmt. 123 x 92 cm Das vorliegende Gemälde zeigt einen typischen Topos der abendländischen Malerei: Christus ist den Kreuzestod gestorben und wird soeben vom Kreuz abgenommen. Wie in den Evangelien zu lesen, ist der Leichnam Christi auf ein weißes Leintuch gebettet, mit welchem er vom Kreuz genommen wird. Johannes und Josef von Arimathäa, auf der Leiter stehend, halten ihn umfangen. Zu Jesu Füßen ist Maria Magdalena zu sehen, die den Tod Christi betrauert. Am rechten Bildrand finden sich Maria sowie eine weitere Trauernde wieder. Marias Armhaltung wiederholt sich in der Körperhaltung des toten Christus.
