A rare Meissen coffee pot and cup with chinoiserie Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, circa 1720-25 - Painted in Augsburg, probably by Bartholomäus Seuter, circa 1730 Decorated in gilding: chinoiserie scenes, scrollwork, arabesques and on the cover three birds on a branch. Lustre-mark "Jf". Rim with Augsburg silver-gilt mount, master's mark "EA" (Elias Adam, 1703 master - 1745). 21 cm and 7.5 cm high dekoriert mit drei Vögeln auf Astzweig. Lüstermarke 'Jf'. Lippen- und Deckelrand mit The most important early wares are the chinoiseries, which appear in great variety. The first work of the kind, much of it painted by the Hausmaler Bartholomäus Seuter, is in gold silhouette. Chinesenszenen auf Rankenkonsole. H. 7,5 cm Literatur: R.
