If you have property you wish to sell, our team of specialists can easily provide you with gratis auction estimates.
Four ways to get an free auction estimate:
For our upcoming sales, we accept consignments at any time. Objects you wish to consign should be delivered to our house approximately 8 weeks prior to the sale. By signing the consignment agreement you agree to sell your property with the reserve price contracted. It lists our terms and fees for services such as insurance, loss/damage liability and illustration. With your signature you also confirm that you are the rightful and legal owner of the work at the time of auction.
Our professional staff of art specialists combined with extensive strategic marketing efforts are two of the many reasons for our success.
Sellers pay a commission that is deducted, along with any agreed-upon expenses, from the hammer price. The commission on the first 1000 Euro is 20%, thereafter 16%. Illustrations fees including the web illustration will be paid at your expense (the charge is maximal 50 Euro per item).
Your work of art is insured by us while in our care. The amount for insurance is 0.7% of the catalogue price.
Auktionshaus Dr. Jürgen Fischer charges a flat rate of 1.05%, plus statutory VAT, if any, based on the hammer price as a pro rata compensation for the legal obligation of the resale right (droit de suite) duty on all original works of art as well as original photographic works created since 1900. Auktionshaus Dr. Jürgen Fischer will pay the resale right (droit de suite) duty accordingly. The consignor is therefore released from all personal obligations to pay the droit de suite.
Approximately five weeks after the sale, you will receive a listing of the final hammer price for each item you consigned. At the same time you can expect your payment provided we are in receipt of the buyer's payment. Our Shipping Department can help you arrange to have your property delivered back to you, if necessary. As the consignor, you are responsible for packing, shipping and insurance charges. Please note that any consigned lot that have not been collected within three weeks from the date of the settlement will be subject to handling and storage charges at 1 Euro per lot and day.
