Preview: Art, Ceramics, Varia and Art Nouveau Collection

One highlight of the upcoming Art and Antiques Sale on 28th November at Dr. Fischer´s in Heilbronn is Wilhelm Leibls Sommerfrische in Südtirol (Oil on canvas, 1870, estimated-price 11.000 ,- €). Gathering a group of fellow artists, the most important painter of the German Realism created the Leibl-circle, including W. Trübner, C. Schuch, T. Alt, K. Haider and temporarily H. Thoma.
Additionally, the Art Nouveau collection Berta Duffner, consisting of some a wide selection of porcelain sculptures from renowned manufactures, fine silver and bronze sculptures, is put to auction.
Among the comprehensive porcelain offering is the Paul Schley object Nach dem Bade from KPM (1913, estimated-price 850,- €) and vase decorated with colourful butterflies from the Rozenburg manufactory (estimated-price 800,- €). Also decorated with butterflies the vase Camille Faurés (Limoges, estimated-price 3000,- €).
Enthusiasts of old ceramic will be pleased about a small collection of vessels used in pharmacies, a Muscovite mug (estimated-price 600,- €), a mug decorated with prunts from Boles³awiec (estimated-price 1200,- €), as well as a significant mug from Hermannstadt from 1745 (estimated-price 3000,- €).
Also interesting is a serpentine bottle with tin screw top from the 17th century (estimated-price 1600,- €).
The tin offering includes a Würzburg welcome-mug from 1667 (estimated-price 1400,- €), a collection of relief plates from various tin smiths from Nuremburg, Memmingen and Feldkirch, as well as a select collection of Transylvanian items, inclusive a richly engraved mug (estimated-price 3800,- €).
Also mentionable are numerous jugs, for example one from Innsbruck (1741, estimated-price 4000,- €).
The offer also features valuable silver objects, select paintings, various sculptures, fine jewellery, and a collection of Art Deco clocks. To receive an impression you can visit the auction house during the visitation week, which takes place from 22nd to 27th November 2009.
