Preview 184. Sale of European Glass and Studio GlassIn their next autumn sale on October 17th 2009, Heilbronn´s auction house Dr. Fischer is displaying a multitude of magnificent glass objects. The offer is reaching from antique glass, fine cut glass, exquisite vases, through stemware, bowls of the Historicism and Art Nouveau to contemporary glass sculptures. A considerable number of Baroque glass is represented by alpine bottles, roemers and “Lauenstein”- glass. Collectors will be pleased about richly engraved beakers and covered goblets as well as enamelled glass with guild and genre paintings. Among cut glass, a covered goblet with a portrait of Friedrich Wilhelm I. of Prussia (Potsdam, circa 1720, estimated price 2900,- €) is particularly mentionable. Furthermore, the sale features some masterpieces of the Prof. Dr. Zoedler collection, including an enamelled golblet from the Wildenstein series (attributed to Gottlob Samuel Mohn, Vienna, circa 1815, estimated price 2500,- €), decorated for the romantic society Bund der Wildensteiner Ritterschaft zur blauen Erde, which was founded by the geologist Anton David Steiger. After Samuel Mohn, the sale offers beakers with view of Dresden and Pirna (both circa 1830, estimated price 1500,- €, 400,- € respectively). The transparent glass offer is completed with a beaker with the view of the “Josephsplatz” in Vienna (2nd half 19th century, estimated price 700,- €) as well as a beaker with allegoric painting by Johann Georg Bühler (circa 1815, estimated price 1000,- €). Besides beautiful Gallé vases, a “Pluviose”- vase by Daum Frères (Nancy, circa 1900, estimated price 4500,- €) enriches the offer. The Studio Glass section also bears some highlights, such as a Stanislaw Borowski vase (1991, estimated price 2200,- €) and the “Herbst”-vase by Vicke Lindstrand (for Kosta, circa 1950/51, estimated price 1900,- €). Particularly interesting and important: Stanislav Libensky´s and Jaroslava Brychtova´s sculpture “Cross Head” (1988, estimated price 32000,- €). Further, famous artists like Stanislav Libensky, Lubomir Blecha, Karel Wünsch, Jiri Harcuba, René Roubicek, Frantisek Vizner, Richard Meitner, Yan Zoritchak, Klaus Moje, Joel Philip Myers, Ann Wärff, Richard Marquis, Tom Patti, Czeslaw Zuber and many more are represented in the sale.
