Joseph Wackerle for Nymphenburg, 1921 Sockel mit schlankem Baumstamm, übermalt mit stilisiertem Blattwerk und Beeren in Gold. Porcelain with polychromatic painting and gold. Grey base with slim stem, painted with stylized leafage and berries in gold. The squaw is wearing a waistcloth in orangered, turquoise and brown, crown in gold. Underside stamped blind mark, "569" and "3". 40 cm high sich hierbei um jenes Exemplar, das auf der Deutschen Gewerbeschau in München 1922 The Porcelain Manufactory Nymphenburg has been handcrafting finest porcelain for 260 years and from the beginning employed specialists with the aim of progressing production developments. In the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, it was such people as Friedrich von Gärtner, Adelbert Niemeyer, Joseph Wackerle and Wolfgang von Wersin who continued to promote the manufactory's renown even through financially difficult times. In the 20th century Joseph Wackerle was one of the most famous representative of porcelain art.
