Vienna, Anton Köll, 1817 und Girandolenaufsatz mit Garantiemarke und Meisterzeichen "A.K" punziert. H. 74 cm, 9623 Silver-gilt, cast, embossed. Marked with assayer's mark and master's mark "AK". Klassischer Girandolen-Typus des frühen Pariser Empires mit antikisierender Nike-Figur, 74 cm high, 9623 gr. antikisierenden Empire-Dekorelementen besetzt. Die vier geschwungenen Leuchterarme sind in On a stepped pedestal mounted with figures. With standing classical female figure supporting the candelaber crown. The design of this majestic candelabrum, with a winged figure of Victory holding aloft the candlearms, probably derives from the celebrated drawing in an album of designs by Percier and Fontaine. Percier and his collaborator Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine illustrated similar figures of winged Victory in their influential "Recueil des Décorations Intérieures", first published in its entirety in 1812.
